The band combine indie, synth and rock styles into their own inimitable sound. Tight riffs, a firm rhythm section and structured songs make it difficult to believe that this band has only been together since November 2011 but easy to believe that they have an exponentially growing fan base.

While most new bands seem content to predictably tie their sound to their lyrics, We Take Manhattan buck this trend by combining thoughtful lyrics with a funky, upbeat sound. We Take Manhattan’s continuing World Tour of Dublin has already taken in such acclaimed venues as Whelans, The Village and Grafton Street, each one of which was rocked to pieces; Grafton Street reportedly needed to be repaved after a mere acoustic gig. “This Dictator” on Balcony TV also
showed the extent of We Take Manhattan’s universal appeal when even the seagulls were heard to be singing along.
